Description

Set within 382 hectares of natural rainforest the hacienda is reached after a scenic 45 minute canoe ride from Puerto Maldonado along the Madre de Dios river. Whilst their river excursions give ample opportunity to spot hoatzins and other wildlife, and it is possible to walk to nearby Lake Sandoval. All meals are included.

Nature trails, river excursions, night excursions, butterfly house, mammal clay lick, canopy walkway, Sandoval Lake excursions, fishing.

Accommodation

There are 5 rooms in the main house (ideal for families) and 25 cabins (ideal for couples). All have ceiling fans and a porch with sitting area.

Hotel Concepcion – the cabin was lovely and overlooked the lake so we had a great view of the hoatzins, turtles & sunrise. Excursions were good and so was the food. - MW (April 2014)
