Modern first class hotel with comfortable rooms and all the facilities you would expect from this international chain. There is a small spa and good-sized outdoor pool. The hotel building is something of a landmark and is visible from many areas of Quito, even from the top of the Teleferico.

Bedrooms are well-appointed and spacious. Staff are friendly and the food is good.

Our comments

A safe and very comfortable option, if rather lacking individual character. Well-placed for shops and restaurants in the new town.

This Marriott was extremely comfortable, with a pleasant outdoor pool set in pretty gardens and an impressive Ecuadorian buffet for lunch. The Spa was small but the massage I had there was excellent. The shopping arcade is worth a visit for quality leather goods, jewellery and paintings, even if one is not staying in the hotel. - JF (September 2008)
