Description

The lodge is constructed in the main square of a Maya site. The access road is reputed to have the highest incidence of jaguar sightings in Belize and the area as a whole is rich in wildlife. There is a pool, which is screened to minimise the risk of insect bites!

Activities

Activities include jungle walks, riding, canoeing or a day-trip to the impressive Maya ruins at Lamanai (at extra cost).

Accommodation

12 very comfortable cabins built using Maya techniques. Standard cabins are perfectly comfortable but Deluxe cabins are more spacious, particularly the bathrooms. There is also a 2-bedroom villa.

Great atmosphere and accommodation and the staff were friendly. The horses were well looked after and kept in good stables and fields. Unfortunately we did not see a jaguar but sightings happened while we were there. Good food. Very enjoyable. Horse-riding, canoeing and trails very good. - VM (January 2008)
