Ecuador/Galapagos/Peru
“We had an incredible time and I wanted to drop you a note to say thank you and fill you in on the highlights. Mashpi Lodge is remarkable, the Galapagos was extrodinary and the Sacred Valley and Machu Picchu were utter highlights. All the support from the local guides was excellent. In Ecuador Marco was so thoughtful and postive and quietly eager for us to sample Ecuador both as food and as culture. Wilda, who guided us in the Sacred Valley, was incredible and hugely knowledgeable. We felt supported at all times and were consequently able to relax and enjoy all around us.
We have returned loaded with photographs and memories and are beginning to think about returning at some stage – the Eastern Galapagos route is calling and we do want to go down to Patagonia. We have other plans coming up, but may well be back in touch in a year or so. Brazil
“We had the time of our lives and I had no idea Brazil was so special! Iguaçu particularly blew us away and the Pantanal was fabulous too. We saw lots of jaguars, yes - on every drive in fact. We didn’t see an anteater or tapir but lots of other mammals and birds of course and it was the jaguar we wanted most. Rio was huge fun and the carnival seats were fantastic - right in the middle by the judges so we enjoyed all the special antics for them. We loved Brazil so much that we’re thinking of Montevideo and Argentina next year as our niece is going to study in Uruguay! We will no doubt be in touch. Costa Rica
“We had a fantastic week in Costa Rica - the organisation, trips, hotels all perfect. Despite la niña (such a naughty girl) meaning the rainy season extended to end of year at least, it didn't take away our enjoyment.” - R&SK travelled in November 2024
Brazil
“Thank you for organising our wonderful trip. It really was fantastic. Highlights are VERY hard, but… Jaguars (of course), plus giant anteater, armadillos and even a glimpse of a maned wolf that even got the guide excited! The Iguazu Falls were stunning, as was the bird park. Football was awesome,... and there was the helicopter ride (amazing surprise so thank you for keeping the secret).” - JH&ML travelled in June 2024
Cuba
“We had a fabulous holiday and feel as if we immersed ourselves in Cuba. There were all sorts of highlights, from snorkelling in the Bay of Pigs, to hiking to Fidel's hideaway in the Sierra Maestra, to spending a morning visiting Hemingway's haunts by 1950s open-topped American car. We would like to make special mention of your Cuban partners who organised our accommodation, transport and social agenda and most notably, their driver/guide, who was exceptional. He looked after us for 13 nights with immaculate driving - no mean feat on the roads and with the fuel shortage - humour, warmth and consideration. He introduced us to local customs, food and experiences beyond our expectations, and gave us confidence in an unfamiliar environment. All the other guides we met along the way were also well-informed, friendly and helped to make our Cuban adventure very special.” - JF&PW travelled in February 2024

Argentina/Antarctica
“We're home and had a brilliant trip. We loved Buenos Aires, the cruise to Antarctica with Aurora Expeditions was fantastic and a couple of nights on an estancia in the Pampas was the perfect way to end before flying home. We were very lucky with the weather and over the moon with all elements of the cruise. There were 120 passengers on board the ship which was a very good number, and it was a nice mix of nationalities. The ship, Greg Mortimer, was very comfortable, the food was very good, and the expedition team and all the staff on board were excellent. The kayaking was great and camping on shore for a night was a unique experience. We have 1000's of photos and lots of wonderful memories. Cuba
“Many thanks for organising a fabulous holiday in Cuba for us. The local agency was great and provided a solid platform and base for our trip from the moment we arrived, giving us confidence from the outset that all would work efficiently (at least, so far as possible in Cuba). Particular praise and thanks go to our driver, who went out of his way to ensure we were not only in the right place at the right time but also added value by sorting extra trips and also managing to get us into a couple of places which were officially closed. He was always positive and cheerful notwithstanding a few obstacles, such as the inevitable black-outs. All in all, a trip to remember.” - AB&AP travelled in January 2025
Costa Rica
“Thank you so so much for all of your help, it was a really special trip and I’m already missing Costa Rica. All our hotels and transfers were perfect and your itinerary suited us so well. Having the transfers all sorted made it so easy for us and I’m so grateful that our trip was planned so well and allowed us to see everything we wanted to.
Our highlights were definitely Mawamba Lodge (Tortuguero), as their staff were just brilliant and the boat trip, the town and the Caribbean Coast was beautiful. For us Arenal and La Fortuna was incredible. The waterfall was amazing (very refreshing!) and the location of the hotel, and being able to wake up and see the Volcano from the balcony was unbelievable. Of course all of our locations were outstanding and we enjoyed every single place we visited.
Everything was so easy and my only downside was that it went so quickly and I wish we had been able to spend longer there. Thank you again for all of your help, we had the best time and I have fallen in love with Costa Rica!” - BS travelled in March 2024

“As usual I think our Colombia itinerary was spot on and the service and guides were the usual high standard, and met the excellent standard we have come to expect from Last Frontiers. We were spoilt by attentive, knowledgeable and personable staff who significantly contributed to the enjoyment of our holiday! In summary: the usual excellent guides, excellent itinerary – just the right pace and timings - and no issues with regards to transfers, safety, information etc etc. All five stars as always. “We had an amazing holiday - our third trip to the country but this time it has really felt like we have been “in” Argentina. The journey from the Andes to the Atlantic was spectacular and jaw-dropping and Gwion was wonderful as a guide and friend. “Thank you for organising our trip, we had a great time and the pace of the trip was about right. There was a lot to see but the real highlights were the Serrania de Hornacal with the rock formations and colours and also the journey across the altiplano from Tarija to Tupiza.
