Colonia (Colonia and surrounds, Uruguay)
A charming, small posada on the banks of the River Plate, a short walk from the central square. The colonial building has been renovated maintaining many original features, and there is a small garden and a restaurant.
Colonia has some of the best preserved architecture in this part of South America. Various interesting museums and churches, and good beaches nearby. Bikes are available for guests to use.
5 rooms in the main building and across the road there is a two-bedroom "Rancho” with private garden.
