Description

Sea Spirit is a comfortable and spacious 297 foot cruise ship that was built in the early 90's for Renaissance cruises, previously called Spirit of Oceanus. She has stabilizers and is well designed for polar exploration. The ship carries 112 passengers in outside cabins, all with a porthole or window and private bathroom and is well equipped with a dining room, multi-purpose presentation room, exercise room, lounge, bar, library, clinic and hot tub. The international expedition staff are assisted by an experienced captain and crew and European chefs.

Activities

International expedition staff lead shore excursions and give daily lectures on board. Optional kayaking and camping is offered on some departures.

Accommodation

There are 53 cabins, all with exterior views, en-suite facilities and individual temperature controls. Bathrobes and a hairdryer are provided in all cabins and the suites and deluxe cabins all have a private balcony.

When to go

November to March

Whilst on board all meals and a selection of wines, beers, spirits, juices and soft drinks are included. Wellington boots are available on loan for shore landings and a Quark Expeditions parka is provided (to keep).

The ship operates 3 main itineraries plus a special Falklands Islands Wildlife cruise. On all cruises optional sea kayaking is offered at £550 per person and on most cruises optional camping is also offered at £150 per person. Note: No optional activities offered on the Falklands Islands cruise.

Deluxe

8 cabins on the Sports deck, behind the bridge, with twin beds or a kingsize bed, private bathroom, walk in wardrobe, windows and a private balcony.

Main Deck Standard

5 cabins on the Main deck with twin beds or a kingsize bed, portholes, wardrobe and private bathroom.

Owner Suite

A spacious cabin on the sun deck with a king double bed in separate sleeping quarters, a sitting room, private bathroom with a bath, walk in wardrobe, windows overlooking the bow and a private balcony.

Suite

6 spacious cabins on the Sun Deck with either twin beds or a king size bed, a private bathroom, windows, sitting area, large wardrobe and a private balcony.

Superior

15 cabins on the Club deck with twin beds or a kingsize bed, private bathroom, walk in wardrode and large window.

Triple cabin

6 cabins on the Oceanus deck with either a kingsize bed or twin beds, a sofa bed, a private bathroom, wardrobe and a window.
