Air passes in South America
We get lots of emails about the various Air Passes throughout South America, so we summarise them here to avoid repeating ourselves! We will try to keep the page up-to-date, but as these change regularly can offer no guarantees of accuracy of the information. These fares are as informed to us by the airlines for travel from the UK, but in most cases we would imagine that the same sort of deals would apply to other countries.
All America Air Pass
For flights within most South American countries with connections to the USA and the Caribbean, offering flexible routings. Click here for details
LAN South America (Int'l flight not LAN)
Airpass for passengers using LAN within South America (excluding the Falkland Islands) who hold an international ticket showing arrivals to and departures from South America on airlines participating on the oneworld alliance. Also SA and AZ. Click here for details
LAN South America Air Pass (Int'l flight LAN)
Air pass for passengers residing outside South America (with the exception of Brazil), for travel within South America (except the Falkland Islands) on LAN. Also applies from Europe to Chile on LAN flights operated by Iberia. Click here for details
Mercosur Air Pass
Useful air pass covering most southern Latin American countries. As some airlines are not accepted it is still not possible to use it for all itineraries. Click here for details
One World Visit South America Air Pass
Allows for travel within South America on certain airlines as long as your international ticket is booked with a member of the One World Alliance. Click here for details
TAM Brazil Air Pass
Good value air pass for travel within Brazil, on routes operated by TAM. Valid for non-residents of Brazil who are holders of an international ticket in and out of Brazil (as long as the international flight is not with Lan Airlines). Click here for details
TAM South America Air Pass
Valid for holders of international tickets to and from the countries valid on the pass (as long as the international flight is not with Lan Airlines). Used for travel around South America on routes operated by TAM. Click here for details
Varig Brazil Air Pass
For flights within Brazil only, on either Varig or Gol, applicable to travellers flying into Brazil with Varig. Due to limited routes on Varig, and the fact that Varig no longer flies to Europe, this pass is rarely useable. Click here for details

Reduced domestic fares in Argentina with Aerolineas Argentinas but only if a full fare return international ticket is booked with the same airline. Click here for details
