This is a listing of the principal airlines serving Latin America from the UK.
Aerolineas Argentinas
Now Spanish-owned, Aerolineas offer a good value service with a change of aircraft in Madrid. Internal Argentine (and some Chilean) flights are cheaper if international flights are also with Aerolineas. Click here for details and schedules
Air France
Air France offers a reasonable service and competitive fares. They are a good choice of airline for flights from regional airports in the UK. Click here for details and schedules
American Airlines
Offering the best seat pitches in Economy class on transatlantic flights. Plenty of time must be allowed for connections in Miami so flying time tends to be longer than routes via Europe. Click here for details and schedules
British Airways
British Airways have a good reputation for service and they offer cost-effective routes to several locations in Latin America. Click here for details and schedules
Continental Airlines
Good airline, with informal service. Hubs in Houston and Newark which can be easier US connections to navigate than Miami. Excellent regional connections with direct flights to Newark (not daily) from Manchester, Birmingham, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Belfast and Bristol. Click here for details and schedules
Iberia Airlines
Although Iberia do not always offer the best service, they do cover many destinations in Latin America, with some of the shortest journey times and their fares are very competitive, especially in business class. New cabin configurations, with proper flat beds in the business class cabin, have now been introduced on nearly all Latin American routes.

KLM Royal Dutch Airlines
KLM are a good choice in airline for regional connections in the UK or if you are thinking of a stopover in the Caribbean. However, they do have quite long flight times to Latin America. Click here for details and schedules

Formerly Lan Chile, LAN offer an excellent service to many destinations in Latin America. Click here for details and schedules
TAM Brazilian Airlines
TAM launched their non-stop service from London to São Paulo in Brazil at the end of 2006 and have proved to be a reliable and comfortable option, with smart planes and friendly staff. They have since extended their long haul destinations to include Buenos Aires, Lima, Montevideo, Asunción and Santiago within South America, using onward connections. Business class is reasonable in price and TAM offer a complimentary limo transfer service in London to and from the airport, for business class passengers within the M25 area. TAP Air Portugal
Fairly standard service but with competitive rates and a relatively short flying time, particularly to north-east Brazil, via Lisbon. Business class has flat beds. Click here for details and schedules
Varig
Formerly Brazil's largest airline, but bought out in 2006 and now only operates a small number of domestic flights and very few international flights (not from the UK) Click here for details and schedules
