Polar Circle Air Cruise
An express air cruise to Antarctica with the goal of crossing the Polar Circle. Escape the crossing of the Drake Passage to this remote continent by taking a 3 hour flight from Punta Arenas to King George Island, South Shetland Islands, where you will board a ship for 7 nights. Operated by Antarctica XXI.
Punta Arenas and Puerto Natales
Day 1: Arrive in Punta Arenas and transfer to hotel. Listen to Antarctica lectures and guidelines that should be followed.
South Shetland Islands
Day 2: Fly from Punta Arenas to King George Island. Tour the island and then board the expedition vessel.
Antarctic Peninsula
Days 3-8: Cruise between the South Shetland Islands and the Antarctic Peninsula. Visit Cieva Cove, Port Lockroy, Petermann Island, Paradise Bay, Lemaire Channel, Prospect and Fish Islands. Cross the Polar Circle at latitude 66° 33’ South. There will be several expeditions in smaller boats and lectures about the continent.
Punta Arenas and Puerto Natales
Day 9: Return to King George Island and fly to Punta Arenas.
