“We had a super time in Brazil and everything went really well but could have done with more time nearly everywhere! Highlights were um, sort of all of it! Perhaps the Pantanal as so much more comfortable (minimal insect bites) than the Amazon and so much easier to see everything. All pickups polite and helpful and Lencois walks really good and interesting. Paraty and Morro lovely and great staff particularly in Morro. We didn’t see anything vaguely resembling a jaguar but birds plentiful and enough caimans and capybaras to keep us happy for years. “I had a wonderful time in Guatemala. I had high expectations for my trip, but the reality far exceeded those expectations. Thank you so much for organising it for me. I did a boat trip along the Rio Dulce, climbed both Pacaya and San Pedro volcanoes, visited the Quetzal biotope reserve near Coban (in pouring rain, and therefore no quetzals to be seen or heard), went swimming at Semuc Champey, visited markets in Solola, Chichi and Coban and was shown round Mayan ruins by expert guides at Aguateca, El Ceibal, Quirigua and Copan. All the ViaVenture staff were very efficient and knowledgeable and a pleasure to travel with.” - DP travelled in January 2013

“We had a wonderful trip and it all went smoothly. Thanks for all your extra help. El Calafate was quiet as you would expect out of season but the Glaciers were worth the trek. Absolutely stunning. Benefit of less people around is you get to see more without crowds! Tour was great and saw condors flying in front of the glacier really clearly. Your recommendation of a visit to Salta was ideal as it was such a contrast to Patagonia, much more Andean in feel. Town was lovely and relaxed with a great hotel near everything. Tour to the "clouds" ended up being in a 4 wheel drive and it was interesting touch to have lunch in what seems like the middle of no-where, all prepared by locals. Scenery and rock formations were amazing. Having been a bit sceptical about driving ourselves and seeing the state of the roads (national or otherwise!) didn't calm my fears. However it all worked out really well and gave us the freedom to meander down to Cafayate appreciating all the wonderful geology of the area. Iquassu Falls are just spectacular and it was a great end to the holiday. Staying in the park gave us a good advantage of early/late viewing without the crowds. Hotel is wonderful but expensive - however, despite the cost, I would still recommend a stay there as it is all so beautiful. All the reps were very helpful and we had a wonderful holiday so many thanks again for all your efforts to make it happen for us.
